About the M.F.A. Portfolio In May of 2010, Mark Monsarrat graduated from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, www.AcademyArt.edu, with a Master of Fine Art (M.F.A.) degree, considered the “terminal” or highest degree attainable in the studio arts. His major emphasis was Figurative Painting—Landscape. Selected pieces from Mark’s M.F.A. thesis portfolio, entitled “The Atmospheric Landscape” are presented here, and represent his plein-air inspired studio work. Further information on Mark’s inspiration may be found on his Bio page. Mark’s portfolio is presented over two pages: larger pieces on page 1, and smaller “plein-air” sizes on page 2 (16” x 20” and smaller). |
